All about the HELL(नर्क) (Part -1)

In the Hindu religion, it is believed that for each and every sin committed by a human being, there is a punishment after the death of a person. The place where the punishment is given is called HELL. It is invisible to the human eye.

Only the sinners have to go through hell. A person who has never committed any sin in their life can't see hell because seeing hell is also a punishment. Nobody can escape this system created by the Almighty. Unless a person suffers the punishment for his sins, he can't take rebirth. Punishment in hell is received by the human being as per their Karma (bad deeds of past and present births). As per Srimad Bhagavad hell is situated above the water of the lowest world.

'Yamraaj', the son of Sun god is the king of hell (नर्कलोक). He rules hell with the help of his servants. Different types of punishments have already been assigned for different types of sins of the person by the Almighty. The sinners are brought to hell in their subtle form of the body after their death. The servants of 'Yamraaj' bring the subtle and invisible bodies of the sinners to hell after death.

As per Srimad Bhagavad, there are twenty-eight types of major hells in the name of -:

1.Tamisra (तामिस्र)

2. Andhatamisra (अंधतामिस्र)

3. Sourav (रौरभ)

4. Maharourav (महारौरभ)

5. Kumbhipak (कुंभीपाक)

6. Kalsutra (कालसुत्र)

7. Asipatrawan(असिपत्रवन)

8. Sukarmukh (सुकरमुख)

9. Andhakup(अन्धकूप)

10. Krumibhojan (कृमिभोजन)

11. Sandansh (संदंश)

12. Taptasurmi (तप्तसुर्मि)

13. Vajrakantakshalmali (बज्रकंटकशाल्मली)

14. Vaitani (बैतरणी)

15. Puyod (पूयोद)

16. Pranarodh (प्राणरोध)

17. Vishaman ( विशसन)

18. Lalabhakshya (लालाभक्ष)

19. Sarmeyadan ( सार्मेयादन)

20. Avichi ( अवीचि)

21. Ayahpan (अय:पान)

22. Kshyarakardam (क्षारकर्दम)

23. Shulaprot (शूलप्रोत)

24. Dandasuk (दंदशूक)

25. Avatnirodhan (अवटनिरोधन)

26. Paryavaran ( पर्यावरतन)

27. Suchimukh (शूचिमुख)

28. Rakshyogabhojan (रक्षोगणभोजन).

Apart from these there are other hells as described in Brahmapuran such as Rodh (रोध), Tan(तान), Mahajwala ( महाज्वाला), Shoukar( नौकर), Taptakumbha( तप्तकुंभ), Mahalobh ( महालोभ), Bimohan (विमोचन), Rudhirandha (रुधीरान्द), Vasatapta (वसातप्त), Krumish (कृमिश), Puyovaha (पुयोवह), Bahnijwala (बनहीज्वाला), Adhashira (अलवीरा), Krushnasutra(कृष्णसुत्र), Tam(तय), Shwabhojan (श्वभोजन), Apratistha (अप्रतिष्ठ).
