The sixteen councillors of Lord Narayan (षोडश पार्षद)

There are many councilors (पार्षद)  and servants of Lord Narayan. They all serve the Lord.But among them sixteen principal councilors are there. Their names are Vishwaksen,Jay,Vijay,Prabal,Nand,Sunand, Subhadra,Bhadra,Chand,Prachand, Bal,Kumud,Kumudakshya,Shil, Sushil,Shusen, They look like the Lord with four hands except the symbol of Srivatsa on the chest and the gem Koustuv. Vishwaksen is the chief counsellor.Garud,Jayant,Shrutadev,Puspadutt, Satwat, Dhata,Vidhata etc are also the main servants of the Lord. All the councilors serve the Lord always. The Lord sends these councilors to the earth to serve his devotees as and when required. All of them are enormously powerful, including  all the miraculous powers. Jay and Vijay guard the western gate,Chand and Prachand guard the eastern gate,Vadra and Subhadra guard the southern gate and Dhata and Vidhata guard the northern gate of the palace of gems of the Lord. All of them carry Sankha (Conch),Chakra (disc),Gada (mace) and Padma (lotus) in their four hands and wear yellow clothes like the Lord. All the councilors of the Lord are one pointed devotees of Lord Narayan.
